Private tuition

Tuition is available to all. I teach all styles and techniques from beginner to advanced. Including... Rock, Funk, Jazz, Latin, sight reading, Double bass drumming, Rudiments, Linear drumming etc...

Notice to parents

I encourage parents to accompany their children in the lessons. I have a comfortable sofa in my studio for you.
I have had a full CRB check. You are welcome to see documentation.

Gradings/examinations

I use Trinity Guildhall school of music and drama and Rock School examinations grades 1-8 which have proved to be very popular with both students and parents. I also have an exceptional pass rate, all at a very high standard. Click onto my News page to view students recent results.

Facilities

I use the latest Roland electronic drums in a purpose built studio with sampling facilities, play alongs and recording equipment.

Experience

I have 12 years experience at teaching and am the resident tutor at Newcastle Drum Centre. I also work for Northumberland County Music Service, Premier Tuition Services and Sacred Heart High School. I am a former student of Newcastle College Where I attained Batchelor of Music status with Honours.

I Regularly perform at drumming events in the North of England. Some of these venues are: The Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle Civic Centre, The Live Theatre Newcastle, The Sage Building, The Customs House, Middlesbrough College, Newcastle College Performance Academy.
